Imagining A World Without Police Ep. 5: ‘Trauma & Protests’
Every Wednesday, the Austin Justice Coalition hosts a community conversation with special guests, inviting participants to challenge their assumptions about public safety and the public good, and imagining a ‘World Without Police.’
This episode will be the second in a four part series on trauma and its relationship to policing. For this episode, we will discuss the ways in which the experience of police repression during protests is traumatic, and the many long term effects of that trauma on its victims, and on society as a whole. We invite the community to join us and share experiences and questions during the conversation.
