Austin Community & Policing Candidate Forum

Join us for a critical Community Safety and Policing Candidate Forum, where Austin’s City Council candidates will engage in deep discussions around one of the most pressing issues facing our city: public safety and policing. This forum is a unique opportunity to hear directly from candidates about their visions, policies, and commitments to reimagining safety in Austin.

As we continue to advocate for equitable, community-centered approaches to public safety, it’s vital that our elected officials are prepared to address the systemic challenges that disproportionately impact Black, Indigenous, and people of color, as well as marginalized communities. From police accountability and transparency to alternative public safety models, we will explore how our city can work towards a future where everyone feels safe and supported.

Hosted by the Texas Civil Rights Project, Grassroots Leadership, and the Austin Justice Coalition, this event is not just a forum, but a chance for our community to come together, ask tough questions, and push for the bold change we need. Whether you’re a concerned resident, community organizer, or simply passionate about justice and equity, your presence and voice are critical.

Let’s collaborate for a safer, more just Austin for all.
