February Meeting – The Revolution Will Not Be Funded!

At our December meeting, multiple community members expressed enthusiasm for the book The Revolution Will Not Be Funded: Beyond the Non-Profit Industrial Complex by Incite! Women of Color Against Violence. This book serves as an excellent overview of the bigger picture: how we got into this mess in the U.S. and how we can do better moving forward to build the future we deserve.

Our General Body Meeting on February 20th will focus on a discussion of this book: what we learned and how we’ll apply it to the work ahead. We encourage you to join us in reading this book before the meeting, but you are also welcome to participate in the conversation without having read the book.

The Austin Public Library has free copies of the print book, and the free audio version is available from the library through the Hoopla app.
