END THE DPS PARTNERSHIP FOR GOOD

The extra DPS troopers are gone now, but they could come back any time

While they were here, they stopped, searched, and arrested overwhelmingly Black and Brown people.

We want to hear about your experience and what makes you feel safe in your community.

We want to make sure your voice and the voice of your community are heard if they try to bring extra DPS troopers back.

Neighborhood-based meetings

  • Rundberg – Little Walnut Creek Library – Thursday, June 22 6–8 PM (capacity 50)
  • Cameron – Virginia Brown Recreation Center (7500 Blessing Ave, Austin, TX 78752) – Tuesday, June 27 6–8 PM (capacity unknown)
  • Riverside – Ruiz Branch Library (1600 Grove Blvd, Austin, TX 78741) – Thursday, June 29 6–8 PM (capacity 78)

Los extra policias estatales del DPS ya se fueron, pero podrian regresar en cualquier momento. Mientras estaban aqui parraron, realizaron busquedas, y abrumadamente detenieron a personas negras y morenas. 

 

Queremos escuchar de tu experiencia y que te ayudaria a sentirte seguro en tu comunidad. Queremos asegurarnos que la voz tuya y de tu comunidad sea escuchada en caso de que vuelvan a mandar extra policias estatales del DPS.
